È stato emozionante domenica scorsa fare parte della giuria del Premio Pippi 2023, concorso aperto ai giovanissimi artisti mantovani. Organizzato da Fondazione Palazzo Te in collaborazione con Cooperativa Charta, il progetto è ideato dalla Dott.ssa Elena Alfonsi.
It was exciting last Sunday to serve on the jury of the Pippi 2023 Prize, a competition open to very young artists from Mantua, Italy. Organized by Fondazione Palazzo Te in collaboration with Cooperativa Charta, the project is conceived by Dr. Elena Alfonsi.
A suggerire il nome e le tematiche dell’evento è l’autore della villa gonzaghesca: Giulio Pippi, detto Giulio Romano, grande architetto e pittore manierista. Il Premio ha coinvolto le bambine e i bambini frequentanti la scuola primaria di Mantova in una divertente gara di creatività. Pastelli a cera, fogli di carta, matite e fantasia sono gli strumenti con cui gli iscritti hanno realizzato i loro “capolavori” ispirandosi a temi e soggetti del palazzo.
È stato molto difficile scegliere tre lavori da premiare, tutti i disegni erano bellissimi e creati con grande impegno e fantasia! E ci tenevamo che i bambini sentissero chiaramente dentro di loro che l’importante era veramente, prima di tutto, partecipare.
Suggesting the name and themes of the event is the author of Gonzaga’s palace: Giulio Pippi, known as Giulio Romano, a great Mannerist architect and painter. The Prize involved the girls and boys attending elementary school in Mantua in a fun creativity contest. Wax crayons, sheets of paper, pencils, and imagination were the tools with which the entrants created their "masterpieces" inspired by themes and subjects from the palace.
It was very difficult to choose three works to be awarded, all the drawings were beautiful and created with great effort and imagination! And we wanted the kids to feel clearly inside that the important thing was really, first of all, to participate.
